Berlin as a Rising Tech Hotspot: GITEX Europe Focuses on AI and Startups

GITEX Europe, which premiered in Berlin from May 21st to 23rd, 2025, is positioning itself as a key catalyst for the European tech industry. With a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), startups, and billion-dollar investment deals, the fair aims to develop Berlin into a central tech hotspot. The event sees itself as the European counterpart to GITEX Global in Dubai and aims to propel Europe to the forefront of the global AI economy.

Strategic Partnerships and International Participation

GITEX Europe is being held in close cooperation with the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, and the European Innovation Council (EIC). The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) organizes the fair, which showcases around 1,400 exhibitors, including well-known companies like AWS, Bosch, Cisco, and SAP. A key objective is the networking of startups, investors, policymakers, and experts from over 100 countries. The fair offers technology pavilions from various countries, including India, Italy, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, to promote international expansion opportunities.

AI as a Central Driver of Innovation

GITEX Europe places a strong focus on AI and hosts "Ai Everything Europe" for this purpose. This platform brings together AI experts to discuss the practical applications of AI in various industries. Topics include cross-sector AI use cases, the potential of EuroStack, the scaling of agent AI, and protection against deepfakes. Over 500 international speakers share their expertise across eight conference stages and discuss Europe's role in the tech age.

Promoting Startups and Investments

Another focus of GITEX Europe is the promotion of startups. "North Star Europe" offers over 700 startups from more than 60 countries a platform to present themselves and network with investors. Among them are 500 leading German startups, 20 global unicorns, and 500 top investors with a total of one trillion US dollars in assets under management. Investors present include World Fund, Siemens Energy Ventures, Earlybird VC, SpeedInvest, and many more.

GITEX Europe as a Driving Force for the Digital Economy

GITEX Europe aims to act as a key driver for the digital economy in Europe. By connecting startups, investors, companies, and experts, the fair aims to promote innovation and accelerate the growth of the tech industry. The fair provides a platform for the exchange of ideas, the presentation of new technologies, and the initiation of business relationships. With its focus on AI and startups, GITEX Europe contributes to positioning Berlin as an attractive location for tech companies and driving digital transformation in Europe.
